Are You and ME a Good Fit?

Let ME help you determine if Moving Everest Charter School is the right fit for your young scholar.

To start, Moving Everest is excited to embark on its ninth official school year this upcoming fall. Throughout the years, we have laid out the foundation for academic excellence and character development through implementing our seven core principles

Our main academic goal? To help graduates enroll in one of their top three high schools. Our on-site high school readiness counselor, Marcus Woods dedicates his time to scholarship applications, focus groups for application prep, alumni relations and much much more.

Speaking of scholarships, we will have four Daniel Murphy Scholars graduating from ME this year. This scholarship is only awarded to 130-140 Chicagoland eighth graders each academic school year. Primary scholarships are fairly uncommon and for four of our scholars to be chosen is a great feat. It’s a testimonial to how hard Moving Everest and its Eagles work to create bright futures.

While plenty of our Eagles are future focused, our alumni still love to visit Moving Everest. Westinghouse High Schooler, A’myra Johnson, has recently looked back at her experience at ME. She is currently ranked 37th in Illinois, 11th in Chicago and plays the clarinet in her school’s band. She has expressed how high school can be a roller coaster of academic struggles, but she has gotten through due to time management, self discipline and asking for support.

Former Class President, Wreanna Davenport, and her brother, William Davenport, have also recently looked back at their time with ME. They both attend Willowbrook High School and both attest their time management and adaptability skills to ME. They feel that the academics at ME helped prepare them for high school level classes.

Aside from academics, we also offer a multitude of extracurricular activities. Scholars have the opportunity to partake in art club, baseball, basketball, boxing, cheer and dance, chess, choir, cross country, flag football, track and field and volleyball. Eagles have the chance to learn more about themselves through these activities. They get to find out what they like, learn to work with others and feel good about harnessing new skills.

We also offer an after school program that is right across the street from ME. Majority of our students participate in this program. Here they get to socialize with their peers outside of the academic setting. While the program is social, they put together activities that work on the kids intellectual and character skills.

All in all Moving Everest works hard to instill foundational characteristics that set your child up for the future. If we seem like a good fit for you, Enroll Here.
